Self-reflection

Before the project

How will a schedule help you
This filming schedule will help us organize what has to be done each meeting in order to finish before the deadline as there are specific dates that keeps track on when we do test shots and the actual scenes. Not only that, since it is a preplanned schedule and taking into account that I need to be there for the filming of all the scenes since I am doing the camera work along with Jocelyn, this will help me free up the days I am needed to avoid clashes with my other activities.

Is it realistic?
Since Rachelle set most of the filming dates to Saturdays as she took account that most of us would be busy with other studies during weekdays after school, this filming schedule is realistic. Not only that, she set the filming of 1 scene to be done in a day instead of several scenes in a day taking into consideration that the shooting time for one scene would take a long duration due to the amount of retakes and factors that were mentioned in the location scout and risk assessment.

What problems might you face?
We may not be able to follow the filming schedule accurately due to unpredictable situations such as sudden harsh weathers as mentioned in the location scout and risk assessment and the availability of the members as well. This may cause delays in the shooting time in which if not done by that day, we will have no choice but to extend to another day.

After the project

Problems:
As expected, we couldn't follow the filming schedule accurately mostly due to the availability of the actor. In addition to that, during the filming process, there were constant modifications to the script and the scenes as well, thus we had extra days where we had to reshoot or shoot those added scenes.

Solutions and what to do next time:
For the problem about the availability of the actors in which their schedule turned out to not match with ours, in which this affects how much he is able to show up for our shooting times, we decided to use another actor that has more free time so that we are able to continue with the planned schedule and avoid further delays. This gave us a lesson to not pick random people as actors and dive right into the shooting process right away, and instead check up on their schedule and create detailed alternatives.
