Statement of Intent

This is my Statement of Intent for my magazine project 

(The last 1 and a half page is an example and guideline given by my teacher to help me in answering my statement of intent.)

Reflection

When I first skimmed through the document to see the types of questions asked and how much I have to fill in and even though I already expected that I had to write in so much details regarding the information of my target audience and the overview of my magazine, I was still quite overwhelmed as at that time, I haven't really thought about what my magazine will be about in detail so I already felt like it was going to be really time-consuming. However I realized the importance of this assignment as It will give a clear direction to support the making of magazine project as I have all the details laid out where It will be a guide that I will use to remind myself what I will include in the content and so that I don't forget about who my primary and secondary target audiences are and track off the way I write to target them as different demographics and psychographics of target audiences have different ways to being targeted such as language, tone, and design layout. This is as I have to consistently write content that resonates with their interests and preferences in order to attract them and have them keep reading my magazine. 

I changed a few things in my statement of intent, below is the new one. 

Reflection
I have to match the content with the pictures I took and because I made this statement of intent before I went to the locations to scout it in detail, some of the places and activities are unfortunately already closed down, therefore I can’t put them in my magazine. This revision helps me realize the importance of planning and making preparations thoroughly because I didn't take account enough of the possibilities that will limit me in the making of this magazine and because of that, I have to change a few things which is quite a hassle including changing some of the content in my magazine article and my double-page spread as they are directly connected towards my plans written in the statement of intent. However, this tells me that there are always room for improvement and this gave me the chance to make my overall magazine better than it was.
